AFETT is an organisation aimed at 'making women winners' and has as its mission - To build a community of women who support each other in becoming more effective in the business world, and develop and implement programmes to promote the enrichment, growth and advancement of our members.

AFETT also provides important mentoring to young professional women and female students.

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
The role of the Communications Committee is to preserve the image, reputation and presence of AFETT in relevant internal and external forums. They are responsible for managing and enhancing the communications tools used to reach AFETT’s internal and external customers, such as the website and Take Note, the weekly e-news bulletin. They are also charged with creating a historic archive of AFETT’s activities using appropriate media.

FINANCE COMMITTEE 
The Finance Committee is responsible for managing AFETT’s finances which includes maintaining records, preparing AFETT’s financial statements and coordinating all committee budgets.

FUNDRAISING COMMITEE
Focusing on special events, the Fundraising Committee is responsible for raising money to drive the AFETT subcommittees and their projects. This Committee is about effective marketing and partnering with corporate citizens to build long-term relationships that are mutually beneficial.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Membership Committee is responsible for the administration and processing of membership applications. Membership co-ordinates new member orientation, publishes the membership directory, and enhances the value for existing AFETT members by sourcing benefits for members.

PROGRAMMES COMMITTEE
With responsibility for hosting AFETT’s monthly meetings, the Programmes Committee seeks to ensure that it provides a forum for the discussion and presentation of activities relevant to AFETT’s members.

RESEARCH & PUBLIC ADVOCACY COMMITTEE
The Research and Public Advocacy committee is charged with keeping AFETT members up to date on relevant issues and events, formulating public statements to be made on behalf of AFETT, and for the co-ordination of research activities undertaken by or on behalf of AFETT.
