Chuck E. Cheese – Sat 10th October

AFETT members and guests along with their children ventured to Central Trinidad to speak with Kristine Thompson, director of Chuck-E-Cheese about her journey as an entrepreneur. Kristine Thompson, along with her sister, Joanna Rostant, run this establishment, citing that it has not been an easy road in achieving the goal of satisfying the needs of children in the environment of a quick-service restaurant with added amusements for children which makes it a family entertainment venue. The services sector is one of the largest sectors of Trinidad and Tobago’s economy. Chuck E. Cheese's is the ultimate place Where A Kid Can Be A Kid® and is one the many businesses that belong to the restaurants and family entertainment industry.

AFETT not only wants to recognize the work of our female entrepreneurs, but more importantly acquire a better understanding about the underlying factors of success. The goal of this luncheon therefore was to spark meaningful discussions about women and entrepreneurship, which naturally led to discussions around venture financing, training and development, customer service and even child care solutions.

During the interview, mascot Chuck-E-Cheese Mouse came out a few times, danced with children, played games and gave out tokens. Additionally, members were able to indulge in various platters and assorted slices of pizza whilst soaking up information that Kristine provided. The adults and children enjoyed every moment. Chuck E., himself, took pride in providing a safe, family-friendly environment that left the kids and parents with a thirst to definitely return.

We wish to thank Mrs. Kristine Thompson and her sister Mrs. Joanna Rostant for sharing their journey with us and for their generous hospitality. Kudos to their staff for their excellent service, delicious meal and for the care provided to our members kids.  Special thanks to Chuck E Cheese for being a great sport and putting a smile on our kids’ faces. Thank you to LimeTT for covering this event. And of course we express appreciation to all the members who supported this event.
