AFETT Youth Arm

We are thrilled that you have an interest in being part of AFETT’s YOUth Arm: your gateway to tremendous opportunities and the pathway to becoming a full-fledged member of AFETT, the leading network for professional women in Trinidad & Tobago.


The Membership Application Process for the YOUTH ARM commences with the submission of the completed online application form.  Your application will then be reviewed by the Board for final approval.



If you meet the Association's membership criteria, you will be contacted by our Secretariat to inform you of this and receive an invoice for the payment of $250TT, which is payable in full.  This represents your annual membership fee of $200TT and a non-refundable processing fee of $50TT. If for any reason your application process is not completed, the annual membership fee of $200TT shall be refunded.

Upon confirmation of your membership, the annual membership fee of $200 TT is payable on January 1st of each year.  Invoices are sent out in December and payment is due on the 1st of January of each year.  


There is usually a nominal fee for attending the regular monthly meetings. The cost of attending special seminars and workshops hosted by AFETT will vary.  There is, however, a moratorium on the fees to attend these Meetings, Seminars and Workshops for Youth Arm Members for 2019 and 2020. This will be reviewed by the Board in June 2020.



We take this opportunity to highlight our expectations upon becoming an AFETT YOUth Arm member:


All AFETT Youth Arm members are required to participate on one [1] of the following of AFETT's Standing Committees; namely:

  1. Social Outreach

  2. Fund Raising

  3. Communications

  4. Programmes

  5. Finance


All YOUTH ARM members are expected to be keenly involved in the Association’s activities. This will also assist in networking efforts as you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with our network of professional women on an ongoing basis.


Monthly meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of each month and as a YOUTH ARM Member, you are entitled to COMPLIMENTARY attendance at any of these monthly meetings. However, prior registration is MANDATORY.


You will be required to volunteer a minimum of fifteen (15) hours per calendar year, at AFETT’s Social Outreach or Fund Raising Activities.


AFETT thrives on the input of all members, thus as a YOUTH ARM member, we encourage you to demonstrate vigour, passion, excitement and energy and share your novel ideas.



Applicants MUST be a citizen or permanent resident in Trinidad and Tobago

Applicants MUST be between the ages of eighteen (18) and twenty-five (25) years old

Applicants MUST meet at least one of the following criteria:

  1. University Degree or Associate Degree, ie. BA, B Sc, MBA, M Sc, LLB

  2. Specialist Qualification, ie. ACCA

  3. A Graduate of AFETT’s REACH Mentorship Programme

  4. A Graduate of AFETT’s Six Steps to Success Programme

  5. Recommended by a financial member of AFETT
