AFETT's First Christmas Marketplace

Even Santa came to have a look at AFETT’s Christmas Market, which featured a wide variety of items for the excited Christmas shoppers who descended on the Woodbrook Youth Facility on December 19.  Patrons were able to sample and browse various food items and several gift items including bags, gourmet teas, handcrafted pillows, jewellery and even car care products. Clothing items from AFETT’s popular Suit Me Up market were also available. Children also got to enjoy the market as they interacted with Santa and leaped joyfully in a bouncy castle. The event truly showed a wide representation of local small business owners and talents.

Christine Francois, one of the featured vendors, posted on her Facebook page, “Thank you again to the executive and membership of AFETT for making its Inaugural Christmas Marketplace a memorable experience of new and old connections engaged in entrepreneurial endeavour.”

AFETT President Cavelle Joseph explained that the event was geared toward creating an opportunity for trade of goods and services, for increased sales and profits amongst our entrepreneurs and for providing a safe and convenient environment to the general public for purchase of Christmas goods and supplies. “Our first annual Christmas Marketplace was a success,” she added, “and we thank all the vendors, our members, customers, sponsors, media and the hardworking board for ensuring we achieved our objectives.” She expressed her appreciation to Fundraising Director, Candice Gray for her hard work, leadership and project management for the event, and also thanked Elise Farrell and the board for all their work and dedication.
