Last July, 2014, the Vice President of the Propelling Young Ladies who Aspire to Redefine and Reinvent (PYLARR) approached AFETT to present on The Importance of Public Speaking and Dressing for Success.
PYLARR is a small NGO that functions primarily at the St. Jude's School for Girls. They host a Vacation workshop for girls transitioning from the Home back into society and also provide mentoring sessions for participants in their programme. Approximately fifteen girls benefit from a three-part workshop focusing on the heart, mind and body. After each girl completes every workshop she graduates and receives a package of goodies that will help her as she makes her way back to the world.
This is the second year that AFETT was asked to participate in this workshop and it definitely won't be the last as we continue our mandate to empower young girls. School rules do not allow taking pictures of the girls attending the workshop however for our records, AFETT President Cavelle Joseph did take a few memorable photos with the officials from PYLARR.
