September 2015 Wine & Cheese Mixer

On September 17th, AFETT held its Wine & Cheese Mixer at the Rotunda at First Citizens Bank's Head Office.  First Citizens' Deputy CEO, Sharon Christopher, shared from her experiences on "Letting It Go: Turing the Page to a Smarter Better You" to a large, appreciative audience of members and guests. AFETTpreneurs Dulcie Furlonge of HBC Associates and Charlene Pedro of Conventus ConsultInc presented brief summaries of the services their companies offered and both had display booths on site.  Two external exhibitors, Shop Shari and Korporate Kouture, also made brief presentations.  President Cavelle pinned two new members, Sue Ann Ramsingh and Vidya Alvarez.

The Mixer ended on high spirits with, of course, Wine & Cheese and intense networking. Jazz Singer, Patrice Inglesberth, delivered a great performance of her repertoire. A Sacha Cosmetics Gift Certificate was presented to Vanessa Thomas-Williams for bringing the most BFFs to the meeting.  The prize of complimentary registration for the October First Citizens Women's Conference, donated by President Cavelle, was won by Karel McIntosh for the most tweets during the meeting.  Damany Hughes won a Sacha Gift Certificate and Nerissa Eccles a bottle of wine -  donated by Conventus ConsultInc, for collecting the most business cards during the networking segment. Past President Nicholette Johnson also won a door prize donated by Conventus Consultinc during a fun activity.  Special thanks to Elijah Harrison for the sound system and DJ services provided, and to our decorators Kathleen Alves and Rachel Alfred.
