Achieving Success through Leadership

AFETT’s Leadership Workshop Helps Participants Achieve Success

The first workshop in AFETT’s new Leadership Series was definitely a success. Participants from a variety of careers and walks of life came together to learn more about “Achieving Success Through Leadership” on October 25, in an intimate setting at the Kapok Hotel. Working in conjunction with Conventus ConsultInc, AFETT held a motivating workshop designed to guide and encourage new and experienced managers, supervisors and people who wanted to develop their leadership brand.

The workshop participants were able to benefit from two speakers, who are strong female leaders, who have risen high in their professions. Both Neysha Soodeen, CEO, Toute Bagai Publishing Ltd. and Chairman, Creative Industries Company of Trinidad and Tobago*, and Lisa-Maria Alexander, Country Chief Marketing Officer, JMMB Group** spoke passionately about their own experiences with their assembled audience.

Led by Charlene Pedro, CEO of Conventus ConsultInc, AFETT President Elect, and strong female leader in her own right, the workshop participants explored sessions that covered developing leadership presence, professional positioning, visioning and goal setting, and more. The participants described their experience as fantastic, inspiring and fun. Ms. Pedro designed the entire workshop programme drawing on her over 20 years of experience in human resource management and her passion for helping women find their leadership potential.
